Congratulations to local author Ian Yearsley

"Windmills of Essex" by Ian Yearsley was published on 15 April by Amberley Publishing.

It includes an introduction which explains how windmills came about, what they were used for and how they evolved, as well as their peak and decline, conservation and a brief look at modern windmills.

The book is 96 pages in length and contains 80 photographs, most in full colour, and features over 40 surviving Essex windmills and mill bases and a look at some important lost ones.
